Terms of service

These terms apply when you buy or use Slotsmith Pro, or use this website. They're an agreement between you and Slotsmith by Rooh Sites, based in India (“we”, “us”). By buying a licence or starting a trial, you agree to these terms. If you're buying for a business, you confirm that you can agree to them on its behalf.

In short: plans are yearly and renew at the same price unless you cancel. You can get a full refund within 14 days. When a licence ends, Slotsmith Pro keeps working, but updates and support stop. You're responsible for how you use it with your customers' data and your payment and messaging accounts.

1. The software and your licence

Slotsmith and Slotsmith Pro are WordPress plugins released under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later. The GPL covers the code itself.

What you buy is a licence key. While it's active, it gives you Slotsmith Pro's features, automatic updates and email support on the number of websites in your plan: 1 site for Pro, up to 5 for Business, and unlimited for Agency. You can move a licence from one site to another by deactivating it on the old site.

Licence keys are for you, or the business you bought for, and the sites you or your clients run. Please don't publish, share or resell them.

2. Free trial

The free trial lasts 14 days and doesn't need a payment card. If you don't buy when it ends, Pro features switch off. The free plugin keeps working, and your settings and bookings are kept.

3. Prices, payment and taxes

Prices are shown in US dollars. Purchases are processed by our reseller, Freemius, Inc., which acts as the seller of record. Freemius takes the payment, appears on your statement, and adds sales tax or VAT where it's required. Freemius's own checkout terms also apply to the payment.

4. Renewals and cancelling

Plans last one year and renew automatically at the price you paid, for as long as you keep renewing. You can turn off automatic renewal at any time in your account at users.freemius.com, or by emailing us. Your licence stays active until the end of the year you've paid for.

5. When a licence ends

If you don't renew, Slotsmith Pro keeps working on your sites with the features you have, but you no longer receive updates or support. You can renew at any time to get them back. If a licence is refunded or cancelled for misuse, Pro features switch off.

6. Refunds

You can get a full refund within 14 days of a purchase, renewal or upgrade. The details are in our refund policy.

7. Support

Customers with an active licence get email support. We aim to reply within two business days, and Business and Agency customers are answered first. Support covers installing, setting up and using Slotsmith, and fixing bugs in it. It doesn't cover custom development, changes to your theme or other plugins, or setting up your accounts with third-party services such as payment providers, Twilio, WhatsApp or Google. 8. Your responsibilities

Slotsmith runs on your website, so you control it and the data in it. You agree to:

use Slotsmith lawfully, including data protection and privacy laws that apply to your customers' booking details;
tell your customers how you use their details, for example in your site's privacy policy;
only send SMS or WhatsApp reminders to people who have agreed to receive them, and follow the rules of those services;
keep your payment, messaging and Google accounts in good standing, and keep their keys secret;
keep backups of your website, and keep WordPress and PHP reasonably up to date.

9. Third-party services

Slotsmith Pro can connect to Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal, Twilio, WhatsApp (Meta) and Google Calendar using your own accounts. Your agreements with those companies, and their fees, apply. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their availability, decisions or charges.

10. Changes to the software

We keep improving Slotsmith, so features may change between versions. We'll describe important changes in the changelog.

11. No warranty

We work hard to make Slotsmith reliable and test every release. Like all software released under the GPL, though, it's provided “as is”, without any warranty that it will be free of errors or work without interruption. Please test it on your site, keep an eye on your bookings and payments, and tell us if something looks wrong.

12. Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost bookings, revenue, profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

13. Ending a licence for misuse

We may cancel a licence that is shared publicly, resold, used to get around licence limits, or bought fraudulently. Where it's fair to do so, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

14. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we make a significant change, we'll email customers with an active licence before it takes effect. The terms that applied when you paid continue to apply to that payment.
